Queensberry Bay is open for glamping from 9th January to 30th November.
We’re shut for the whole of December every year – although the offices are still open for bookings and enquiries Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Glamping means “glamorous camping” – i.e. camping without the hassle (and chilly nights!) associated with unpacking and erecting a tent. Glamping’s been around for some time now – we got our first unit back in 2005 after we saw one at the SECC show – but it’s become increasingly more popular in the last 5 years.
For 3 main reasons:
You’ll find glamping offered all over the place – from the middle of a field in the back of beyond to a city centre. It tends to work very well on major walking or cycling routes – the nearby C2C for example.
We offer 2 types of glamping:
Well, the obviously answer is that one allows children and the other doesn’t – because it is in one of our adult only areas, but in also the units themselves are very different too.
This is our family friendly pod:
It sleeps 4 on these raised platforms…
And comes with these facilities…
For your comfort and entertainment we’ve put in the following into our glamping pods:
(Try fitting all that into your tent!)
The same (and a little bit more) will apply to the S-Pods.
Our family friendly units are not plumbed in. That’s part of the fun of them.
The adult-only S-Pods have a shower and WC .
We currently have 1 family unit and have 3 S-Pods available to rent.
Probably – but the issue we have is that the family unit is on Shoreside and is very popular there. But we’re restricted on our Shoreside pitches.
Yes, we can do – though most people do bring their own (it’s part of the fun).
We also have air mattresses available for hire if required.
Yes we do.
You can book a 3-nighter from Friday or a 4 nighter from Monday – both at great rates.
We also offer a 7 night break deal, which starts on either a Friday or Monday, whichever suits you best.
To book or enquire, please contact us.
Yes – as a glamping guest you can book one of the spa mini-break packages, in fact our glamping spa mini-breaks are really popular!
Especially with pet owners…
Yes you can, but only in certain glamping pods so please do check with us in advance to make sure we have availability. Queensberry Bay is proud to be one of the UK’s most dog-friendly holiday park and four-legged friends are made very welcome here wherever possible.
Unfortunately, we can only take dogs (not parrots, ferrets, rats, cats or any other furry, slinky or scaly friends, sorry) and have a maximum of 2 dogs per unit.
You can indeed – check availability and book online here.
