1. Do you do offer Wigwam mini breaks?
In recent years mini breaks have become increasingly popular and we offer mini breaks in ALL our letting units - we even offer mini breaks for our touring and camping guests.
We offer four basic types of these Short Holiday Breaks:
- Friday to Monday Mini Breaks (3 nights)
- Monday to Friday Mini Breaks (4 nights)
- Spa Mini Breaks (one of the above with a pampering package included), or
- Golf Mini Breaks (one of the above with Golf Packages included)
We want our guests to come back time and again so our mini break prices really are competitive - why not have a look? See our Wigwam Nightly Charges and Wigwam Mini Breaks for short breaks by the sea in Scotland >>
The Wigwam is our baby unit. It’s a timber built log cabin that looks like an upturned boat from the outside - but it’s lovely and snug inside. It really is camping with a touch of luxury.
3. How many Wigwams do you have?
We have just one, which is sited on Shoreside touring pitch 9.
The Wigwam was originally designed for the Southern Upland way, where it is a firm favourite with walkers, hikers and cyclists wanting somewhere dry for the night.
The Wigwam concept has spread over the years and it’s now a favourite with anyone wanting either a roof over their heads in a storm – or families wanting something a bit different for either a mini break or for their main holiday.
No – the Wigwam doesn’t have water. It’s positioned on one of our Shoreside touring pitches, so it has water to the tap outside and it has electric and heating.
6. What do we do about showers?
The Wigwam is sited close by our superb showers and toilets used by our campers and touring caravan guests – and guests in the Wigwam use them too.
Not as such – the Wigwam has a raised bench that makes up into a sleeping platform for up to 4 people.
Sleeping bags can be provided for a small charge.
We find that our guests tend to prefer to bring their own bedding – it is, as noted, camping with a touch of luxury.
Every Wigwam owner puts something different into the unit. We have included a fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery as well as a washing up bowl. An electric heater keeps things nice and snug on those colder nights.
We can also provide a range of welcome hampers for a small charge - see our Wigwam Extras >>
