We've all been there - driving along, frantically flicking through the map book (or worse still listening to the SatNav droning away about turning back at the next opportunity) the last signs for the park were miles back, there’s no sign whatsoever of the sea, the kids are arguing, granny feels sick and the dog’s making a bid for freedom through the back window - and you’re beginning to wonder why on earth you agreed to this outing ...
... and then suddenly ... you spot the most beautiful place ... a place that you didn't even know existed.
This is the Magic that is Queensberry Bay as you come over the brow of the hill at Powfoot. Miss the turning, and you’d never know we were here ...
Don’t get us wrong - this is no Brigadoon - the sun doesn't always shine and, on a bad day when the rain blows horizontally off the sea, there's no danger of forgetting where you are.
But on a good day ... you could be anywhere on this earth!
