Permanent Pitch Frequently Asked Questions (and answers) ...

1. What is your opening season?
   From 1 January 2008 we will be open to our “residents” (i.e. static caravan and seasonal touring van owners) for 11 months of the year, closing for just one - December. Obviously the facilities available outside our main season (April to October) are significantly reduced.
2. Why are seasonal touring vans included as permanent?
   Simply for ease - and because the majority of our seasonal touring caravans do tend to stay for many years.
3. Are there any seasonal touring pitches on Shoreside?
   Unfortunately not – this is simply for short touring breaks – anything up to 14 nights.
4. Do you offer winter storage for tourers?
   No – but our seasonal tourers have the option of staying on their pitch across the winter. Obviously we have rules about securing the vans and insurance.
5. Do your length restrictions also apply to seasonal tourers?
   Yes – and full site rules apply, so please ask for details.

6. Can I bring on my own static caravan?
   Unfortunately not. All vans coming onto the park have to be bought either from or through us. We have a range of vans for sale at any time – and if we haven’t got it we can usually obtain whatever you’re looking for.

7. Can I have a deck?
   Yes – subject to constraints of appearance, materials used and size. Please see us if you are interested in a deck.

8. How long can my van stay on the park?
   Every new static van is guaranteed 10 years on the park. Every new holiday lodge or Bothey is guaranteed 20 years on the park. Other than this, our front row of statics has a 10 year age limit. After the 10 or 20 years, and in the rest of the park currently the van can stay so long as it is clean and tidy, it passes a gas certificate each year, is insured and fees are paid by the due date. In common with all parks we review our age restrictions on a regular basis, so do please check.
