The Bothey Frequently Asked Questions (and answers of course) ...
- What is the Bothey?
We first introduced the Bothey in 2006 as an alternative to the Wigwam and our static caravans and holiday lodges. It came about because guests loved the “quirkiness” of the Wigwam, but wanted something with its own toilet and shower.
The Bothey was intended to be an “in between” stage – a mini lodge with rather more than the Wigwam, but not to the standard (or size!) of a full holiday lodge.
- How big is the Bothey?
It’s not big – at 18 feet by 12 – but has everything you need for a short “away from it all” break.
- Is it on a front pitch?
No –the Bothey is positioned on our Bothey development, close by pampering@powfoot – our private hire spa. - Who uses the Bothey?
The Bothey’s a firm favourite with couples on a budget wanting a short, peaceful and relaxing break.
- Is the Bothey plumbed in?
Yes – the Bothey has water and full gas central heating as well as a shower and toilet.
- Are there beds in the Bothey?
Yes – there’s a full sized double bed.
- Is bedding included?
Yes – the price includes bedding and towels. In addition if you stay for more than 7 nights we’ll give you fresh bedding and towels after the first week.
- What’s in the Bothey?
The Bothey includes almost everything that you'd find in the Annan - just less of it! It has a sofa, television, fridge, microwave, oven etc. It really is a mini-lodge adventure!
We include as standard a starter pack of tea, coffee and milk as well as washing up liquid and soap.
We can also provide a range of welcome hampers for a small charge – please see Bothey Extras or call us for details.
- How many Botheys do you have?
We have just one to let currently – but it has proved so popular that we have started selling Botheys.
